31 Days of Witchcraft - Day 1

garden path

1 - How did you discover your path?

Even as a kid, I was interested in world religions. I wanted to make my own - a religion that would combine all the other religions. One that everyone could be part of. That's probably how it started.

As a young mother, I wanted to show my kids that there was something important about every day. I collected holidays from around the world and found ways to celebrate them.

As an adult, I've had the pleasure of meeting people of many different belief systems. I found that following the earth and the seasons resonates with me. It just makes sense. I'm still comfortable with monotheism, so I follow the seasons within that paradigm. In a way, I've forged my own path. It's working for me.

  1. I love this! For while I am a Christian who prays to Jesus, I worship at a Unitarian Universalist church because there, we explore all major religions. I find it comforting that (to borrow a phrase) there's more that unites faith communities than divides. (If you're open to looking at it that way.)

    1. Thanks Gal! I've been to a UU church before and found it welcoming and interesting. I believe in the teachings of Jesus, too, and it's incorporated into my worship.
