10. What made you smile today?
My granddaughter, Peeper, singing a horribly off-key rendition of "The Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round." She was trying to entertain her baby sister. It worked, too. I adore her, but she can't carry a note with a handle attached.

12. What is making you mad?
I'm frustrated that Mommy is going away on a business trip for five days, leaving me, Bear and Papi to handle the kids while we're trying to work. Since this business trip is for a business that she a. isn't doing much with and b. can't really afford the investment in, it's really an excuse to get away for a few days. I don't begrudge her the time away, but it's frustrating for the rest of us who have to juggle our work schedules to accommodate her.
Also, Papi keeps warming the house in the morning by turning on the oven. The smoky oven. I woke up choking this morning, and he just doesn't get it. I'm not comfortable cleaning the oven until it's warm enough to ventilate the kitchen.
In my life...
I took my first ambulance ride on Friday night. Bear came down with sudden and violently painful stomach pains, which led to vomiting, which led to choking and coughing and being unable to get her breath, which brought on a panic attack. At the hospital, they put her on oxygen and gave her a nebulizer treatment. Eight hours later, we were on our way home with a prescription for Zantac and Zofran, and an inhaler for asthma. She's still having mild stomach discomfort, but she's doing much, much better.
The rest of the weekend was uneventful. I spent almost all Saturday sleeping since I'd been up all Friday night.
I did finish the book I was reading, De-Witched. It was pretty enjoyable. And I added a holiday to my Pinterest account of daily holidays. So, a little progress on the 3rd 101 Things in 1001 Days front.
Tonight I'm going to Rosalina's for dinner. It's Providence Restaurant Weeks, and Rosalina has been on my list of places to try. I'm looking forward to it, and to the couple of hours on my own.

Rallies in Paris in solidarity for Charlie Hebdo.
Islamist radicals set fire to a German newspaper, in retaliation for them printing those same offensive cartoons that Charlie Hebdo had. Local Islamic groups are staging a silent march in Berlin today to protest the violence.
