Daily gratitude challenge
via Kwizgiver
18. Something that fills me with hope.
I'm so grateful for my children and grandchildren. Even at their most annoying, squabbling monstrousness, I see so much hope and potential in them all. They bring me so much joy.

18. What is bothering you?
Nothing personal bothering me. The state of things with ISIS continues to weigh on my mind.

In my life...
Got a large portion of the Thanksgiving shopping done yesterday, and a good start on gift assignments for Christmas.
We're trying something different this year. Santa will come on Christmas as usual, but family gifts will be exchanged on January 6, Epiphany. It will spread out the expense, since we also have two birthdays on December 14 and one on December 30.
Bear's going to be working on Wednesdays for the next couple of weeks, adding a day to her weekly hours. It's coming at a good time.
Papi found another temp job.
I'm reading a really meh book, called A Catered Thanksgiving. It's a murder mystery with recipes, and clearly in the middle of a series of similar books. It doesn't require that I've read the previous books, which is good. The story really isn't very well written, and I think I already know whodunit, but I really wanted something Thanksgiving-y to read.

In the world...
Israel promises to respond with a 'heavy hand' after an attack on a synagogue that killed four.
Providence City Council President Solomon paid $2,000 in fines for ethics violations

Something beautiful...

  1. I just checked out the blog 365 link--is there a direct link to the site so I can check out December's prompts?
