April 30, 2014

Not much better then blah today, but butter than yesterday, which is good progress.

Thing that made me happy today:
The cast of Star Wars Episode VII: "April 29th, Pinewood Studios, UK - Writer/Director/Producer J.J Abrams (top center right) at the cast read-through of Star Wars Episode VII at Pinewood Studios with (clockwise from right) Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Producer Bryan Burk, Lucasfilm President and Producer Kathleen Kennedy, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Writer Lawrence Kasdan. Today's Tarot card is The Star.
A nude woman kneels beside a pond. With one hand she's pouring water into the pond. With the other she's pouring water onto the ground. It runs in rivulets back into the pond.
The Star's keywords are: optimism, hope, renewal, cleansing, astrology, peace, connection and recognition.
Well, that's nice.

It's yet another chilly, rainy day. April showers will continue into May. Sigh.

To brighten the May days, I'm joining Kwizgiver in a May Blog challenge, hosted by Love Happy Daily
1. You can complete all of the daily prompts, some of them or none of them. It’s not a competition – it’s just fun! Pick the ones that excite and inspire you to write and share.
2. There will be a linkup at the bottom of my post each day, so you’re welcome to leave your link for the day to share it with others. In addition, you can share your posts on Instagram using the hashtag #blogeverydayinmay (ETA: the host's posts)
3. Below are the topics. They aren’t set in stone. You can interpret them in any way you would like. There is no getting it wrong. Be creative!

And here are the prompts:
Day 1, Thursday: Goal setting. What are your plans for today? (And/or this week? This month? This year?)
Day 2, Friday: What’s in your cup?
Day 3, Saturday: Write a Less/More list. (For example, less watching - more dancing.)
Day 4, Sunday: What’s a compliment you have been given that has stuck with you? Who gave it to you? When? Where?

Day 6, Tuesday: A favourite photo of you.
Day 7, Wednesday: Where are you writing from today?

Day 14, Wednesday: Make us laugh. Share a funny story or picture.

Day 27, Tuesday: Share a project you’ve been working on.

Day 30, Friday: Best advice you’ve received lately.
Day 31, Saturday: Gratitude.

Tonight I'm going to PPAC to see "The Book of Mormon." I didn't expect to be able to go, so it was a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to it, and to finally seeing the inside of the Gilded Age building.
