I've been invited to join the Spring Into Horror Read-a-Thon, and since it fits perfectly with the 100 Fantasy books in 10 Years challenge, it will actually be helpful to play along.
I'll read one of the horror books in my fantasy list (probably Lovecraft) to fulfill both requirements.
Today's tarot card is Justice.
A pillar in the form of a golden woman holding baskets in a balance bisects an arched window. Outside on one side of the pillar it's summer, in the other side it's winter. In the baskets are autumn leaves on one side and spring flowers on the other.
The card represents balance, harmony, equilibrium, weighing pros and cons, peace and justice.
"Justice" is the Libra of the Tarot, so it's of particular interest to me, since I'm a Libra. It's a reminder that everything comes in its season, and it all balances out in the end.
Use a smaller spoon or fork than you usually do at 1 meal or snack today.
I can't do this, since I already use the smallest forks we own. So more accurately, I already do this.
Today I'm grateful for:
1. I found the remote to my Roku!
2. The extra energy to get things done. The condition of my home is woeful.
3. I finally got the paint for the bathroom
Of note in the world:
David Letterman recently announced his retirement. Here now, courtesy of 22 Words, is his first Top 10 List, ever.
Today I accomplished:
Writing this blog post
Cleaning out under my bed (not as bad as I'd feared)
Catching up on "True Detective"
Cleaned the toilet
I watched a couple of documentaries on the Great Hurricane of 1938. It was scary and fascinating to see the video of the flooding and recognize some of the buildings, and hear the names of familiar places.
I finally got the paint for the bathroom. So I know what tomorrow's project is.
I somehow managed to need another 3-hour nap in the middle of the day.
