April 4, 2014

Last night I talked to both of my no-longer-living-at-home daughters. C. is busily planning a camping trip, and M. managed to switch nasal solution with contact lens solution. The result was two badly damaged corneas that will take a few days to heal. With three small children in the house, it will be a challenge to function even temporarily without her vision. I wish she lived closer so I could help.

Picked Bear up from school. Poor kid was sick as a dog. Coincidentally or not, so were many of the kids who went on the field trip to Boston with her yesterday.

Today's Tarot card is a pretty one. The Ace of Cups from the Wheel of the Year.
A fairy sits in a glass cup filled with flowers and a candle. The glass itself floats in a lake or pond, surrounded by snowflakes.
It stands for harmony, great love, fertility, profound gratification, nourishment and emotional growth.
All that would be nice to have. It's certainly worth working toward.

Today I'm grateful for:
1. A beautiful pink/orange sunrise this morning
2. My boss let me borrow his car to pick Bear up from school
3. Being stuck late at the office - so I was at the office when the call came in asking me to make an update to an agenda. And I didn't have to get the call while I was on the road, and then remember to do it when I got home.

The Daily Challenge is:
Hold on to a table or chair, extend your arm to the side, and raise and lower your heels 10 times.
Done and done. Easy!

  1. Reading about your daughter's eye trouble actually, literally made me wince. I hope she's on the mend soon.
