February 20, 2014

For Christmas I received a very nice desk calendar featuring a work per day from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Today's is A Country Residence, Possibly General Moreau's Country House at Morrisville, Pennsylvania by Pavel Petrovich Svinin (1787/88–1839).

While I usually don't care for the flat aspect of Colonial era painting, I find this one rather appealing. The museum has 53 of Svinin's works. I'll have to check them out.

Last night I sold another two rings, a necklace and pair of earrings to the woman I know from Dunkin Donuts. She wants me to bring in the jewelry every week so she can buy a new piece.
