Thought I'd share a Valentine's Day recipe this week. Of course, I haven't actually made these yet, so I don't have a photo.

These are "heart-healthy" sweets for your sweetie. As you make them, visualize your sweetie's health and happiness.
"Anti-oxidant cookies."
Cheerios
Walnuts
Dried cranberries
Dark chocolate
Melt the dark chocolate in a double-boiler (or microwave). Stir in other ingredients and mix until coated. Spoon onto wax paper and let sit until hardened.
They can also be made with milk or semisweet chocolate, dried cherries, other types of nuts. Mix and match and enjoy!
This recipe was originally posted in our 2009 Holiday Trail, and was given to me by Joy Homestead docent Marian.

I bet even I could create that treats, and who knows? I may be inspired to! Please be sure to share the photos after you complete a batch.

Ooo, thank you!
DeleteOh, yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks! They turned out pretty well for a first attempt.
DeleteIt always helps to see how they're supposed to look when they're done! I may just screw up the courage to give these a shot. Thank you.
