1. Why Kitchen Witchery?

Cauldron by Pockafwye

I've always felt a strong interest in the magical and mystical, and a pull toward the nature-based celebrations of spirituality. At the same time, I believe in the Abrahamic God, and in Jesus Christ. I consider myself a Christian by belief. But since God (who I don't view as a He or a She) gave us the world to our care, I think honoring the world honors God.

I'm not a joiner, and as much as I appreciate the community of a church, I super-extra hate sermons.

So I worship God in my own way, in my own home.

Lately I haven't felt like I've been focusing enough on being worshipful and mindful. This challenge seemed like a good way to sort things out, and find more specific ways to bring God and nature into the daily rhythm of my life.

Great post! Thank you for participating. It's nice to meet you.

Thanks! You too, Nar!

I like the idea of honoring God by honoring the world. It's simple to grasp but very profound, too. I'm tossing it around. What do I do beyond recycling? Hmmm ... You've got me thinking about upping my game!

I hope we both gain something out of this experiment :)
