The August Project: August 2, 2012


  1. Happiness challenge: Fresh starts. I still love fresh starts. Yesterday's fresh start didn't work out as I'd hoped, but I get another chance at a fresh start this morning.
  2. Weigh in. -2.6 lb. Obviously a discrepancy in what I was wearing or something.
  3. Exercise 30 minutes (cumulative) 15 minutes
  4. Dinner tonight: Ham with mixed vegetables and corn. (we have a lot of ham to use up) Nope, the ham was no longer viable. We had chicken salad.
  5. Currently reading: Nathan Hale: the life and death of America's first spy and Plain Truth Made some progress on Nathan Hale, but nothing in Plain Truth.
  6. Progress on 101 Things List: There are currently 28 items on the list that I started back in 2009. There are still only 28 items.
  7. Decide on (and do) a project around the house: Today I'm going to make a list of the projects that need to be done around the house. I have a list started, but it's only started. I'll have to choose from that, and make a decision tomorrow.
  8. Get the big TV out of the house: The guys didn't help me move the table yesterday. I'll follow up with them about it today. This thing must weigh 100 pounds. I definitely need help. I didn't catch the guys today. 
  9. Do today's cleaning chore: the entryway: wipe down the window sill, the door and frame, the light switch. Dust the shelf and knick knacks, tidy up the table and sweep/mop the floor. 
  10. How/what will we celebrate today? 
  11. Photo opp: I have a few friends showing their photographs at City Hall, opening reception tonight. Great chance to get downtown and explore some. I did get down to the show, and had a lot of fun meeting photographers whose work I only know from Flickr.
