Bear's last day of orientation. She reports that it went well, and has half a dozen or so clubs she wants to join. We agreed that she could join as many as she wanted, and then pare back, based on her interest level, scheduling conflicts, etc., but that she has to give each club at least 3 meetings before she makes up her mind.
The guy we hired at work, who was supposed to start on Monday, declined the job. The economy must be looking up, since of the three we wanted to interview, two had jobs already and one turned us down.
I had one of those driving days where it seemed as though everyone - including pedestrians - was going out of their way to try to cause an accident. Emerged unscathed.
Fed G's cat. We have no idea where the cat is, but the food was missing from the bowl, so I take it as a good sign.
Went out for Chinese food with the Graduate. The food was only "meh," but there was a man there picking up his order who looked very familiar. It turns out that he and I were both working in the court system on Long Island at about the same time....25 years ago.
