  1. Normally I love Hitchcock and James Stewart, but I just couldn't get into this one. I think it tried too hard to be avant-garde. Hitch's best work was more subtle.

    I didn't find Kim Novak to be particularly compelling, or Stewart's character to be very sympathetic, so it was hard to get caught up in the relationship.
