Monday movie meme

The Bumbles host the Monday Movie Meme. Click here to see their entry, and those of the participants.

This week's movie topic is all about Winter...
Since we could only think of a handful of movies about the Olympics, we decided to focus on the Winter theme instead. Share on your blog selections that feature snow, freezing cold and other winter related movies and link back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!

Nearly any Christmas movie.

Smilla's Sense of Snow: Smilla (Julia Ormond), who is part Inuit, plays a key role in solving the mysterious death of a young neighbor boy she had befriended.

The Shining: The dangers of cabin fever. Jack Nicholson and family are snowed in for the winter in a creepy hotel.

Alive: A Uruguayan rugby team is stranded in the Andes after a plane crash.

The Day After Tomorrow: Father and son race to find each other as New York is plunged into a new ice age.

Ice Age: Four Ice Age animal friends discover a human baby and try to return it to its parents.

The Cutting Edge: A figure skating diva and a washed-up hockey player must find a way to work together to earn Olympic gold in couples figure skating.

  1. Ice Age! Good one. I don't think I saw that one this week on anyone's list.

Alive is one I still haven't mustered the courage to see.

  2. Ice Age is a good one. And I'm glad you included the olympic show.

  3. Love The Cutting Edge! Toe-Pick!!
