As I was leaving the grocery store, there was a man collecting money for homeless vets. I fished in my pocket and gave him some cash, noting that I had a $20 and a $10 remaining.
My next stop was the pharmacy, where I took cash out of my pocket to pay for my purchase. Alas, there was only a $20 bill. I paid for my purchase and hoped that the $10 had fallen out near the homeless vet guy, and he had picked it up.
Instead, as I walked back to my car, right near where I parked, was a crumpled $10 bill! It's a breezy day and by rights that bill should have been halfway downtown by the time I got to it, but there it was, waiting for me.
