Back in April I read about "the Pasta Nazi" in Providence Daily Dose. Immediately I was intrigued. Federal Hill is Providence's Italian community, and well-known for its restaurants. But a little trailer in Johnston that's only open 3 days a week, 4-6 months of the year has some of the best Italian food around.
I ordered the gnocchi and meatballs. Both are homemade and stuffed with ricotta cheese. For $10 I got a meal that was delicious and filling. The Bear and I both made a meal of the single serving.
Although we pass Conti's on our way to and from the library, this is the first time we've seen it open. It was pure serendipity, since the owner pretty much opens the store when he feels like it. But I'll be watching more closely from now on.
