book of seasons: DIY Easter grass

One of the easiest DIY projects ever, and earth-friendly to boot. I have a longstanding hatred of Easter grass. It seems like you're still cleaning it up at Christmastime, since the stuff gets staticky, sticks to everything and is generally unpleasant, not to mention non-biodegradable.

I go for the paper or foam grass, but readymadeblog has come up with a smart alternative that I'm embarrassed I never thought of myself: Paper from the office shredder.

I've used shredded office paper as hedgehog bedding, but this takes it to a whole new aesthetic.
