book of seasons: Christmas family recipe: Bourbon Balls

BOURBON BALLS

2 1/2 c, crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 C. chopped nuts
1 6oz bag semi-sweet chocolate bits
3Tbs. Light corn syrup
1/2 c. rum, bourbon or whisky

1. Melt chocolate bits
2. Add corn syrup & liquor
3. add sugar, wafers & nuts,
5. Let stand one hour
6. Roll into balls
7. Can be rolled in more confectioners sugar, chopped nuts or chocolate jimmies. Store in an air tight container. The longer they are stored, the better they are, so make them early.
