enviro-mental archives: Someone else's bright idea: Window picture frame

photo: pointclickhome

What a great idea! Recycling an old window into picture frames is a pretty simple project that's also extremely versatile. Anne of pointclickhome created this one, using a window found at a swap. She sanded and repainted it, and filled it with her own photos. I think it looks fabulous, and I love the way she's accented it with lights.

I might go that route, but I can also see this working with chipped and peeling paint, or even better, old varnish.

If I can find one, I'm going to put a series of sunset photos in it to hang at home.

  1. looks very cute. I also like the skis on the side. Real pictures make things so beautiful, they bring life, yet the window frame keeps the lines clean.
