enviro-mental archives: Converted church

Before and after shots of a converted chapel in the Netherlands that's been redesigned for use as a private home.

The images are from CasaSugar, and show just one of the changes to the sanctuary. It's a bit of a jolt. Although I think the redesigned interior looks terrific, it's still very much a church. Which is as it should be. I love how the light from the stained glass windows colors the floor.

What do you think? Can a house of God become a home?
