Mother's Day surprise

The Bear and I were on our way to Coventry when I got a call from Eldest.

"So...what're you doing?"
"We're driving to Coventry. It's on my list of 101 Things in 1001 Days, and I figured I might as well," I answered.
Silence.
"Why?"
More silence.
"Are you on your way to visit?" (they live three hours away)
"Actually...we're here."
"Here...at my house?"
"Yeah."

We turned around and went home to find not only Eldest, but First Son, too. The four of us went for lunch, went to a carnival, went for ice cream and had a nice time visiting. I hadn't seen Eldest Son since Christmas, so this was really special. It was a great Mother's Day.

As an added bonus, our landlord/neighbor gifted me with some lilacs cut from the tree in the back yard. It was a lovely way to start the morning.

I didn't cross Coventry off my list, but I have One Good Thing to add instead.
