Terran eclipse

image: Discover.com

This photo, taken by Japanese satellite Kaguya, shows what a lunar eclipse would look like if you watched it from the moon: A Terran eclipse, or eclipse of the Earth.

The article by Discover is poetic, vis. "that’s the Earth’s atmosphere lit up, a circle of a sunlight, a ring of a thousand simultaneous sunrises and sunsets."
