Happy President's Day!

photo: CakeWrecks

With the minutes ticking down to the end of President's Day, I wanted to leave you with this impressive cake posted at Cake Wrecks. It's pretty spiff, with the Lincoln Memorial on top and the calligraphy on the parchment-colored cake at the bottom. Of course, when I turn 200, I'll want something just as jazzy. They also showcase several much less impressive cakes in honor of the day.

  1. That cake is actually in our fridge at work! Doris Kearns Goodwin spoke at Loyola University Chicago and this was the cake made for the reception after the lecture. Pretty cool huh?

  2. That's *awesome*. I loved (and reviewed) Goodwin's "A Team of Rivals." It was terrific! What a great speaker to have for a Lincoln's Birthday celebration.
