Andrea Fernandes at Mental Floss has written a nice mini-bio of Edward Gorey for her Feel Art Again series. Since I recently rediscovered his books, this was particularly interesting for me.
One factoid: "During high school, Gorey supposedly once “painted his toenails green and walked barefoot down Michigan Avenue.”
Interesting stuff.
