I'm not a fan of Westerns, but I tried to give this movie a fair shake. I found it to be a Western: full of vigilante justice, bounty hunters, horses and whores.
After I watched it, I looked up a plot summary online and found that this was an homage by Eastwood to his mentors in the spaghetti western industry, and supposedly a reflection on the senseless violence of the Western.
So okay. I've never been an Eastwood fan anyway, but any movie with Morgan Freeman is worth watching.
