The story of a man so overtaken by rage and violence that he damages everything around him. Brutal boxer Jake LaMotta (Robert DeNiro) beats his brother, his wife, and nearly everyone else he comes across. It appears to be the only way he can relate to people.
I've heard people rave about the movie, its power and intensity. What I saw was an ignorant, brutal punk who deserved far worse than he got. The violence got to the point where it was expected, and eventually tedious. I didn't come away impressed by the cinematography, acting or story. I just want that two hours of my life back.
