Did I mention I'm not a fan of gangster movies? I liked this one better than the Godfather, surprisingly. Of course, Joe Pesci's in the role he was born to play, and he runs with it like a football.
I like the voiceover reminiscences. It helps to put the movie in a context I wouldn't have otherwise. It was an interesting look inside how a wise guy's mind works, and how his career rises and falls.
