Mohandas Gandhi was a very important man. A revolutionary in the concept of peaceful protest.
Ben Kingsley as the titular role is extremely believable. The movie is a star-studded tribute to the lawyer who became the lead figure in the movement for Indian independence from Britain. I can't vouch for the historical accuracy, but it's beautifully acted and filmed; a truly inspiring story.
That said, it's also incredibly long. I mean, really really long. And it seems longer than it is. It's an arduous journey to watch this film.
