Movie review: All Quite on the Western Front

I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. Reviews I've read usually rave about this movie, but I didn't find the impact they'd described.

It was certainly a "ravages of war" movie, very much anti-war in its sentiment. The beginning title placard says it all.

I didn't feel the terror of the trenches any more in All Quiet than I did in Private Ryan.

All in all, just unimpressive, though maybe deserving of another watching someday.
