Movie review: All the King's Men

The story of the rise of one Willie "Sugar Boy" Stark. Stark (Broderick Crawford) rises from backwoods Southern county seat to governor through popular appeal, despite the threats and violence of the corrupt political machine.

Once he holds the governorship, he becomes as manipulative and corrupt as the political machine he'd battled on his way up.

This particular movie didn't really hold my attention. It wasn't hard to follow, I just didn't find the characters to be very compelling.
