Fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent died June 1 of an undisclosed illness. Saint Laurent had been a leading name in the fashion industry since his arrival in Paris in 1953, and was a student of Dior. He was renowned for his versatility in fashion, and developed the first "smoking suit" woman's tuxedo.
